Sci-fi, fantasy and horror took the stage in Eymundsson bookstore in Austurstræti on October 23rd when two novels were celebrated hot off the press—Heiðmyrkur (Clear Darkness) by Ingi Markússon and Álfareiðin (which could be rendered Elf fury) by Gunnar Theodór Eggertsson. Bookworms wriggled together, talked to the authors and enjoyed the scent of fresh ink. Ingi and Gunnar Theodór did readings and signed books. Simultaneously, Clear Darkness fell on Storytel in the masterful reading of Álfrún Helga Örnólfsdóttir, Haraldur Ari Stefánsson, Sigríður Láretta Jónsdóttir og Stefán Jónsson.
In Heiðmyrkur (Clear Darkness) – published by Storytel and Sögur útgáfa – Ingi Markússon concludes the story that began with The Shadow Bridge and continued in False Light, books that have caught attention and received praise. Álfareiðin – published by Forlagið – is a bloody elf thriller by one of Iceland‘s main fantasy authors.
